Those who clear Regional Mathematical Olympiad are eligible to sit for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO), which is conducted by the Mathematical Olympiad (MO) Cell of the Homi Bhabha Centre of the Science Education (HBCSE) under the aegis of the National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM).
The Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) is a high school mathematics competition held annually in India since 1989. It is the second tier in the Indian team selection procedure for the International Mathematical Olympiad.
Regional Mathematical Olympiad 2016 Registration
The INMO is conducted by the MO Cell in February of every year. Prospective candidates first need to write the Regional Mathematical Olympiad of their respective state or region, usually held on the first Sunday of December of the previous year. Around thirty students are selected from each region, to write the INMO, which is usually held on the first Sunday of February. Among these 500 or more students, a total of around thirty qualify the INMO.
The INMO examination paper comprises six problems to be solved over a time of four hours. These problems are in the areas of algebra, geometry, number theory and combinatory. No calculus is required, though calculus based approaches are allowed to solve problems.

Educational Qualification
- Indian candidates born on or after August 1, 1997 and are in Class 9, 10 or 11 are eligible to apply for the RMO.
- Regional Coordinators have the discretionary power to allow any Class VIII student with exceptional mathematical talent to sit for the RMO.
Application Fee
- The registration fee for Pre-RMO can be paid either by Cash at ISI, Kolkata or by Demand Draft.
- A Demand Draft (DD) for Rs 250/- drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata” payable at Kolkata

- Then, log in to Home page and Click on the career link
- After this, open the online application form link and
- Then, fill the form correctly and
- At last, submit the form
- And take the print of the page
