Changes made in age criteria:
- CLAT 2017 counselling process will be conducted in only three rounds.
- Upper age limit for General candidates will be 20 years(as on 1st July 2017) and 22 years (as on 1stJuly 2017) for reserved.

Eligibility Criteria
For CLAT LLB Programmes
Age Limit:
Candidate’s age must be less than 20 years old as on 1st July 2017 and 22 years old in case of SC/ST.
Academic Qualification:
- Contenders must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2017 are also eligible to appear in CLAT exam.
- Candidates must convert their grades (if any) into percentage for appearing in CLAT 2017.
For CLAT LLM Programmes
Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit for the candidates appearing in CLAT 2017 to pursue post-graduate programmes.
- Candidates of all ages are eligible to give the examination.
Academic Qualification
- Candidate must have an LLB or any other equivalent degree.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2017 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2017 examination.
- However they shall be required to show a hard copy of the proof of their passing the qualifying examination in the respective National Law Universities at the time of admission.
NOTE: Candidate must be an Indian citizen and NRIs. Candidates who have cleared 12th with compartment, they can also apply for this exam.

Application Fee
- GEN/OBC/SAP (Specially Abled Persons) Category need to pay Rs. 4000/– as application fee.
- SC/ST Candidates have to pay Rs. 3500/– only.
- Application fee can be paid either online or e-Challan.
CLAT Syllabus
- Candidates must check the examination syllabus before they start their preparation.
- Examination syllabus of CLAT covers all the sections of English, GK, Current Affairs, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning.
- GK & Current Affairs sections include 50 marks each, whereas English section including comprehension, logical reasoning consists of 40 marks each. The mathematics section will have 20 marks.:

Examination Pattern
For UG Courses:
- Exam will be conducted for 2 hours.
- There will be total 200 multiple answer type questions.
- For each accurate answer, you will get one mark and for each wrong answer, 1/4th marks will be deducted.

CLAT Admit Card 2017
- Admit cards for CLAT 2017 examination will be available online from April 2017 on official website.
- Candidates are advised to bring the ID proof along with admit card at the examination centre.
- Admit card consists all the important details related to examination such as examination date & time, examination centre, applicant’s name, roll number, applicant’s signature, thumb impression etc.
